Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1978, Lithuania's population change increased by 3.1% compared to 1977, reaching 10.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.4.

Lithuania ranks 15th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.2% (from 9.0 in 1973).
