Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 1989, Lithuania's population change increased by 1.0% compared to 1988, reaching 10.4.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 10.2.

Lithuania ranks 14th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.5% (from 11.0 in 1984).
