Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1998, Lithuania's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.4% compared to 1997, reaching 71.4.

Lithuania ranks 21st out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.5% (from 69.0 in 1993).
