Life expectancy by age and sex

In 1999, Lithuania's life expectancy by age and sex increased by 0.6% compared to 1998, reaching 71.8.

Lithuania ranks 21st out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.7% (from 68.6 in 1994).
