Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2017, Luxembourg's population change increased by 4.4% compared to 2016, reaching 7.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 10.5.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.7% (from 7.3 in 2012).
