Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2008, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 80.2% compared to 2007, reaching 14.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 65.1%.

Luxembourg ranks 24th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 97.3% (from 7.4% in 2003).
