Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2009, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 4.8% compared to 2008, reaching 15.3%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 75.7%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 96.2% (from 7.8% in 2004).
