Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2016, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data decreased by 7.1% compared to 2015, reaching 19.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 84.1%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.9% (from 18.5% in 2011).
