Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2022, Luxembourg's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 2.9% compared to 2021, reaching 24.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 82.4%.

Luxembourg ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 14.2% (from 21.8% in 2017).
