Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2011, Luxembourg's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.1% compared to 2010, reaching 2.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.5%.

Luxembourg ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 94.3% (from 1.5% in 2006).
