At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2010, Malta's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 7.6% compared to 2009, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.3%.

Malta ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 21.9% (from 23.3% in 2005).
