Early leavers from education and training by labour status

In 2024, Malta's early leavers from education and training by labour status decreased by 6.9% compared to 2023, reaching 9.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 9.4%.

Malta ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 33.1% (from 14.2% in 2019).
