Population structure indicators at national level

In 2005, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.8% compared to 2004, reaching 38.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.6.

Malta ranks 22nd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.7% (from 36.3 in 2000).
