Population structure indicators at national level

In 2006, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.6% compared to 2005, reaching 38.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.0.

Malta ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.2% (from 36.7 in 2001).
