Population structure indicators at national level

In 2011, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2010, reaching 40.1.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.6.

Malta ranks 18th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 3.9% (from 38.6 in 2006).
