Population structure indicators at national level

In 2010, Malta's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.5% compared to 2009, reaching 39.7.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 41.3.

Malta ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 38.0 in 2005).
