Population change - Demographic balance and crude rates at national level

In 2010, Malta's population change increased by 5.0% compared to 2009, reaching 2.1.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 0.6.

Malta ranks 9th out of 17 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 16.7% (from 1.8 in 2005).
