Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2017, Malta's main indicators increased by 16.3% compared to 2016, reaching 7.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 18.4%.

Malta ranks 25th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 152.2% (from 2.9% in 2012).
