Police-recorded offences by offence category

In 2013, Malta's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 7.8% compared to 2012, reaching 1,185.

Malta ranks 24th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 11.2% (from 1,334 in 2008).
