At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2021, Netherlands's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 10.8% compared to 2020, reaching 14.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 16.1%.

Netherlands ranks 15th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 12.5% (from 12.8% in 2016).
