Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2013, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources decreased by 4.2% compared to 2012, reaching 9.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 26.8%.

Netherlands ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 32.8% (from 7.5% in 2008).
