Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2014, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 0.1% compared to 2013, reaching 9.9%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 28.6%.

Netherlands ranks 23rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 9.4% (from 9.1% in 2009).
