Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2018, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 9.8% compared to 2017, reaching 15.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 32.1%.

Netherlands ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 53.1% (from 9.9% in 2013).
