Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2019, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 20.2% compared to 2018, reaching 18.2%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 34.1%.

Netherlands ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 83.7% (from 9.9% in 2014).
