Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2023, Netherlands's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 21.0% compared to 2022, reaching 13.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 11.0%.

Netherlands ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 42.5% (from 9.5% in 2018).
