Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2025, Netherlands's unemployment by sex and age increased by 1.1% compared to 2024, reaching 8.8%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 15.2%.

Netherlands ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 17.0% (from 10.6% in 2020).
