Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2024, Netherlands's unemployment by sex and age increased by 6.1% compared to 2023, reaching 8.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 14.9%.

Netherlands ranks 26th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.4% (from 8.5% in 2019).
