Government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data

In 2020, Poland's government deficit/surplus, debt and associated data increased by 25.2% compared to 2019, reaching 56.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 89.5%.

Poland ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 10.8% (from 51.1% in 2015).
