In 2024, Poland's students enrolled in tertiary education by education level, programme orientation, sex and field of education increased by 3.1% compared to 2023, reaching 1,397,522.

Poland accounts for 7.3% of the EU-27 total of 19,065,264.

Poland ranks 5th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 2.3% (from 1,430,981 in 2019).
