At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex

In 2013, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex decreased by 16.1% compared to 2012, reaching 14.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 13.3%.

Portugal ranks 16th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 34.5% (from 22.3% in 2008).
