At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2018, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 4.1% compared to 2017, reaching 17.7%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 15.5%.

Portugal ranks 12th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 21.2% (from 14.6% in 2013).
