At-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex - EU-SILC and ECHP surveys

In 2020, Portugal's at-risk-of-poverty rate by poverty threshold, age and sex increased by 1.2% compared to 2019, reaching 17.5%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 17.0%.

Portugal ranks 14th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 2.9% (from 17.0% in 2015).
