Early leavers from education and training by labour status

In 2025, Portugal's early leavers from education and training by labour status decreased by 7.6% compared to 2024, reaching 6.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.1%.

Portugal ranks 19th out of 26 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 33.0% (from 9.1% in 2020).
