Early leavers from education and training by labour status

In 2024, Portugal's early leavers from education and training by labour status decreased by 18.5% compared to 2023, reaching 6.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 9.4%.

Portugal ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 37.1% (from 10.5% in 2019).
