Employment rates by citizenship

In 2007, Portugal's employment rates by citizenship decreased by 0.1% compared to 2006, reaching 73.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 71.6%.

Portugal ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 4.3% (from 76.9% in 2002).
