Fertility indicators

In 1995, Portugal's fertility indicators decreased by 2.8% compared to 1994, reaching 1.41.

Portugal ranks 15th out of 23 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 9.6% (from 1.56 in 1990).
