Population structure indicators at national level

In 2005, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2004, reaching 39.2.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 39.6.

Portugal ranks 13th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 37.5 in 2000).
