Population structure indicators at national level

In 2006, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2005, reaching 39.6.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.0.

Portugal ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 37.9 in 2001).
