Population structure indicators at national level

In 2007, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 1.0% compared to 2006, reaching 40.0.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 40.3.

Portugal ranks 10th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.7% (from 38.2 in 2002).
