Population structure indicators at national level

In 2022, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 0.9% compared to 2021, reaching 46.7.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 44.4.

Portugal ranks 3rd out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.9% (from 44.5 in 2017).
