Population structure indicators at national level

In 2019, Portugal's population structure indicators at national level increased by 2.4% compared to 2018, reaching 37.8.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 34.1.

Portugal ranks 4th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 13.5% (from 33.3 in 2014).
