Share of energy from renewable sources

In 2015, Portugal's share of energy from renewable sources increased by 102.6% compared to 2014, reaching 7.4%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 6.8%.

Portugal ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 33.9% (from 5.5% in 2010).
