Main indicators - share of renewable energy

In 2014, Portugal's main indicators increased by 296.4% compared to 2013, reaching 3.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 6.6%.

Portugal ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 5.6% (from 3.9% in 2009).
