Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2025, Portugal's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 4.1% compared to 2024, reaching 32.7%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.9%.

Portugal ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.9% (from 27.5% in 2020).
