Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2024, Portugal's population in private households by educational attainment level increased by 5.4% compared to 2023, reaching 31.4%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 36.1%.

Portugal ranks 21st out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 18.9% (from 26.4% in 2019).
