Employment rates by educational attainment level

In 2021, Portugal's employment rates by educational attainment level increased by 1.8% compared to 2020, reaching 89.6%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 86.5%.

Portugal ranks 6th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 5.3% (from 85.1% in 2016).
