In 2015, Portugal's police-recorded offences by offence category decreased by 15.1% compared to 2014, reaching 29,386.

Portugal ranks 13th out of 25 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 42.0% (from 50,650 in 2010).
