Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2020, Portugal's unemployment by sex and age increased by 7.6% compared to 2019, reaching 7.1%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 7.2%.

Portugal ranks 11th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 45.4% (from 13.0% in 2015).
