Unemployment by sex and age - annual data

In 2018, Portugal's unemployment by sex and age decreased by 15.1% compared to 2017, reaching 20.2%.

The figure is above the EU-27 average of 16.7%.

Portugal ranks 7th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the top half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has fallen by 47.7% (from 38.6% in 2013).
