Population in private households by educational attainment level

In 2023, Romania's population in private households by educational attainment level decreased by 5.6% compared to 2022, reaching 18.6%.

The figure is below the EU-27 average of 35.1%.

Romania ranks 27th out of 27 EU member states with reported data — in the bottom half of the distribution.

Over the past five years, the indicator has grown by 4.5% (from 17.8% in 2018).
